Over the course of the past decade, Alex Lynne has earned the respect of her peers and fans as an award-winning singer/songwriter. In addition to her memorable solo performances, Lynne is recognized for her role as frontwoman of an all-star, rootsy rock band known as The Redhearts. Intimate and humorous with their audience and with each other, the band has become a rock & roll vehicle for what have been referred to as "wonderfully succinct folk/pop songs."The award-winning lineup of musicians currently includes Jim Whitford (pedal steel guitar), Dave Miers (electric guitar), Jonathan Hughes (bass) and Jim Celeste (drums). Their sound is centered upon pop-rock roots, with Whitford providing his trademark touch of twang.

Lynne's 2000 singles, "Your Pretty Little Baby"and "Come On In," have been in regular rotation on the Trax radio program (broadcast throughout New York, Southern Ontario, Pennsylvania and Ohio), as has Lynne's 1998 single, "My House." Lynne and Whitford recently began work on the newest single, entitled "The Last Thing That You Do,"and the band is looking to complete its full-length record during the coming months.
